Lady Denise serves as Co-Pastor of Friendship Worship Center in Mount Vernon, New York, where The Right Reverend Dr. C. Nathan Edwers is pastor and presiding prelate of the Unified Free Will Baptist General Conference, the presiding Bishop of the Middle Atlantic Conference and pastor of Mt Zion UFWB Church located in Edison, New Jersey.
Bishop and Lady Denise have been married for over 36 years. She is the proud mother of Sherri and Eric, the mother in love to Audrey and “Gigi” to Harper and Theo.
Lady Denise worked for Westchester County for 37 years, first as a Senior Social Caseworker and then as a Program Specialist with the Westchester County Youth Bureau. Upon retiring from Westchester County, she became the Mount Vernon Site Manager of Family Ties of Westchester. She then retired and is now the CFO of the Friendship For Tots Learning Center.
Lady D is a woman after God’s own heart. She is a true worshipper. She exemplifies this through her love for God, family, people, especially children, and her catering ministry. Her demeanor is such that you would never know that she is a 1st Lady or a preacher. Lady D oversees the MAC and the UFWB Women’s Ministry. She aims to ensure that every woman understands that “she is fearfully and wonderfully made.”
